When thinking about the first theme I wanted to explore, expansion was an easy choice. Not only because I love talking about business growth, but I am currently expanding in my personal life too. Reintroducing my business, stepping out on my own, and working through my limiting beliefs have all stretched me in ways that aren't easy. And when it comes to growing your business, it can also feel scary, confusing, or overwhelming at times.
I’ve talked about how I think creators can expand for years—I’m talking blogspot, bloggers finding their footing on Instagram years. Bouncing ideas around with my friends, writing thoughts in my notebook, and even making attempts to bring some of those ideas to life.
Today, the creator economy continues to grow and it's time for creators to be asking themselves: What’s next?.
I think Black women deserve to grow their businesses in all the ways they dream of. There shouldn’t be any limits on how far you can go and I believe we’ve only really scratched the surface on how creators can expand. This is why this season’s question is “What does it look like for a Black woman creator to expand her business?”
I will be exploring what creator success looks like in 2026 and beyond, the growth options creators have, Black women’s unique position in the industry, talking to creators who have expanded in new directions, and having conversations with the women moving the creator economy forward.
Growth is at the core of my studio, so I will always be exploring it. Not in an overly productive, always hustling way, but in what matters most, how can we go deeper, connect more ways.
Walking into an expansion season can be scary, but I’m ready. Are you?
